charlizecheeksCharlize Theron’s fearless pixie cut and Dior Haute Couture floor-length gown was truly the crème de la crème at yesterday’s Oscars red carpet. But did you also steal a look at those chiseled, contoured cheekbones? Whoa! Talk about hoochie-mama’ing it up for the crowd. If you want to look like you’ve just scored cheekbones that could cut glass, here are some handy instructions on how to fake a sculpted visage thanks to the magic of makeup.

1. Using Laura Mercier Angled Cheek Contour Brush, swirl the bristles around in your bronzer (I love Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soft Matte Bronzer) and tap away any excess powder on the back of your hand. Suck your cheeks in and apply the bronzer where the two lines have formed. Starting from the apples of the cheek, gently sweep your brush upwards in a crescent shape towards your outer hairline. You can build up the colour as you please.

2. Next, using a liquid highlighter pen such as Yves St Laurent Touche Eclat, draw a line just above your bronzer line starting from the space below the middle of your eye and out again towards your hair line and blend the formula in dabbing motions into the skin using your fingertips. This will help to accentuate the cheekbones and make them POP.
