Unless you’re some sort of beauty professor, there are so many unique beauty products out there that you’ve likely never heard of. From face masks made out of a birds nests to placenta creams, we’ve narrowed it down to the 2 that actually work. Which one will you try?

Lancome Oscillation Power Foundation

This is the 1st micro-vibrating mineral foundation. You simple push the button and let the velvety cushion applicator glide across your skin for that perfect coverage. With 7,000 micro-vibrations per minute the product breaks down the mineral powder for you into micronized particles for that smooth refined look.

Le Soin Noir Complete Beauty Renewal Skincare
World’s first black moisturiser. An intense and luxuriously black cream with exclusive formula boosting benefits. Scared you’ll end up looking dirty or been to the mechanics. Don’t be; it goes on black and melts into skin without leaving a single trace of its original colour. Specially engineered Vital Black Algae Sap Concentrate is what gives the cream its inky hue.

Shampoo for chlorine-damaged and dry hairHello beauties. Welcome to my first edition of what I shall lovingly dub the ‘Frugalista Perspective’. The thought of spending my hard earned cash on something that I will wash off every night hurts. I mean physically, it hurts! I love to save money (and I have to admit I’m pretty good at it – I get an unreasonable stab of guilt for spending $3.50 on a coffee) but I can’t say I am not enticed by the beauty world. But if glamour is what you seek, have a read of Rita’s and Paula’s entries – you are sure to find what you need there. If your needs are basic like mine, join me, I’m sure we’ll get along just fine.

To begin with, I am new to the cosmetics game so I have only touched the surface of what’s available. At present, my routine consists of sunscreen, tinted moisturiser (for weekends!) and mascara… that about sums it up! But my current dilemma is my hair. I have recently taken up swimming and as much as my body loves the low impact exercise, my hair hates the chlorine! Even my hairdresser has noticed. So as much as it pains me, I may need to invest in a shampoo and conditioner that isn’t what is simply available at the bottom of my shower. After expert consultation with Rita, I was thinking I’d give the Frederick Fekkai Marine Summer Hair Marine Clean Detox Shampoo. At $30 a pop, my heart begins its palpitations so I may not be ready to spend that amount of money just yet. Moving on.

The Goldwell Dual Senses Scalp Specialist Deep Cleansing Shampoo ( For All Hair Types ) at $19 is starting to feel more manageable. And 250ml so it’s not soo bad. . Let’s keep looking.

The ABBA Detox Detoxifying Shampoo (For Heavy Build-Up and Impurities) at $38 is starting to feel more manageable. And at 1000ml, that comes to 38 cents a ml. Still, not quite the $1.99 I’m using to paying for the no brand shampoo.

What do you think guys?
